Season 2008 / 2009 in Review

The season of 08-09 was a significant one for Lacey Motorsports. Not only was it their first full season since returning to speedway it was also Nick’s first season of driving Sprintcars. For a new team and a rookie driver the overall result was both pleasing and promising.

We competed a 25 race meetings throughout Victoria and South Australia with the following results.

• Qualified for the A main 10 times
• Top ten finishes in the A main 6 times
• Top ten finishes in the B main 10 times
• Qualified and started 14th in the A main at the Grand Annual Classic

Nick progressed steadily throughout the season growing in confidence each night. The rookie driver finished the season on a high by running 6th twice on the Easter trail and finishing 8th at the S.A title after starting 18th.

Lacey Motorsport is now looking forward to the 09-10 season and is busy preparing for a 30 plus race schedule with the emphasis being on the SRA series along with all Major open meetings in Victoria and South Australia. Please visit the calendar section of the website for up coming races.
